Tox Free NC
Presented by:

Pesticides are poisons - no doubt about it. People often use them to combat everyday pests in homes and child care centers - things like ants, cockroaches and weeds - but even when used correctly, they can be very dangerous for children, pets, and other small critters! The truth is that broadcast pesticide spraying is seldom necessary for common pests, and can create health risks for anyone who uses the space, especially for kids. Yet sadly broadcast pesticide sprays are still used in most NC child care facilities. Come learn about safer strategies for pest control at home and in child care, and get tips for working with pest control contractors to get the safest possible service at the best price. Plus, some tips for adding organic foods to your menus without breaking the bank.
